The Client Brief
140mm thick boards of S and B Lambdatherm 70 grade material was specified as the preferred product to be used as part of a Wetherby building systems EWI system aimed at improving the thermal performance of over 700 properties carried out in a number of phases at Ribbleton in Preston, Lancashire
The Lambdatherm 70 material has a thermal conductivity of 0.032 W/m²K which allows the thermal performance of the properties to be brought up to the required levels while being quick and easy to apply.
S and B EPS Lambdatherm 70 material complies with all the required certifications for the EWI installation including the relevant sections of ETAG 004.
The Challenge
To improve the thermal performance of the existing housing stock using External wall insulation systems, with as little disruption as possible to the residents.
During the installation of the system the residents were able to remain in their homes and carry on with their lives as normal.
